Blacksmithing 105 – Forge Welding

Forge welding is often considered an advanced skill, but it is actually one of the foundational techniques in traditional blacksmithing. In this hands-on class, students will learn the basics of forge welding while creating a simple fire poker that incorporates two forge welds. After completing the project, the instructor will demonstrate additional forge welding techniques and discuss how this essential skill is used in traditional and modern blacksmithing.

Ages: 16 and up
Class Size: Limited to 4 students per session

Students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult does not need to be a paying student but must remain outside the smithy during the class.

Cost: $160 per student
