Blacksmithing Tool Series: Tong Making 🔨

Forge your own tools and take your blacksmithing skills to the next level! In this session of our Blacksmithing Tool Series, students will craft a functional pair of blacksmithing tongs from start to finish. Under expert instruction, you’ll learn advanced techniques such as set downs, jaw construction, hot punching, hot riveting, and drawing out — essential skills for any serious smith.

This is an advanced-level class involving heavy hammer work and is recommended for those ages 18 and up.

🕘 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM & 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (7 hours total instruction)
🍽️ Lunch: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (bring your own lunch and explore the site during the break)
