Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 2:15 – 3:15 PM
Cost: $20.00 per person | Limited to 18 students
Instructor: Anthony Moricoli
⚔️ Held during Midgard at the Mill: A Viking Invasion! Your Mushroom Walk ticket is for the walk only and does not include festival admission. Midgard at the Mill tickets ($10 ages 13+, $5 ages 4–12, free 3 & under) are purchased separately at Eventeny.
Join instructor Anthony Moricoli for a one-hour guided foraging walk to find and examine the mushrooms and fungi growing in the Hagood Mill woods. Each class walks a different trail through the woods near the bridge or the Petroglyph building, so every group gets its own adventure.
Any mushrooms or fungi we find will be discussed and identified to the best of Anthony’s ability. We’ll talk about mushroom morphology and the traits that distinguish different mushroom “families,” and whether the mushrooms in question are edible, poisonous, or otherwise specified.
⚠️ No one will be eating any wild mushrooms in this class.
📍 Meeting Point: The backyard of the office, near the barn.
🎒 What to Bring: Whatever you’d like for a short hike and a class: good hiking shoes, a notebook, and possibly an umbrella.
🌧️ Any rain we get in the days before the class will increase the number of mushrooms we find, so do a little rain dance in the days just before the class, but not the day of!
⏰ Online ticket sales close at 6:00 PM the evening before.
📅 This walk is also offered at 1:00–2:00 PM or 3:30–4:30 PM on November 7. See all times.
